Sougata's current mission is to "Make every citizen an Energy Manager" by engaging and empowering them with the right low-cost tool. Sougata believes that Societal involvement in carbon footprint reduction is the strongest tool in the battle against climate change.

Founder of two start-ups; 3e Advisory at Dubai Science Park and 3e Apps originally incubated at In5-Tech Dubai Internet City. 3e Advisory assembles consortiums to identify, develop, finance and execute ESCO and Solar PV projects.

3e Apps develops and provides the monitoring tools for such projects on mobility platform. Earlier, Sougata developed and successfully delivered the Sustainable Development Policy at TECOM Investments. As CEO of Pacific Controls, Sougata also set up the Emirates Energy Star program and deployed it across 100 buildings in the UAE.
